Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre at Plettenberg Bay offers a truly unique Wildcat Experience.  Guests are taken on a guided tour to meet captive-bred furry felines, living in a semi-natural environment.  So close, you can hear them purr…

During the one hour guided tours you are guaranteed to see the charismatic Cheetah, ZweLakhe the Leopard and enjoy a cat and mouse game with South Africa ’s seldom seen Lesser indigenous cats, such as the African Wild Cat, Servals, Caracal and the rare Black-Footed Cat. Experience the inquisitiveness of the busy Meerkats, watch the Blue Cranes dance and take pleasure in getting to know the mischievous Marabou Storks.

For the more adventurous we offer a walk with the Tenikwa Cheetahs. Take an exhilarating stroll through Tsitsikamma Indigenous Forest and Cape Floral Fynbos as you join the Tenikwa Cheetahs on their daily walk.  A unique and personal experience with these amazing animals, the Cheetah Walk will stay with you for life

After Tenikwa go to Monkeyland and Birds of Eden

http://www.monkeyland.co.za/

Entry to Monkeyland is usually free but you pay for the tour; this entitles you to spend time on the forest deck, which also doubles as a restaurant named The Blue Monkey Cafe.

From this area primates moving about the forest are always seen, and heard. Go on a monkey safari (optional) with one of our game rangers, this is a foot safari into the forest where the primates have been released and are free roaming. The rangers will track the primates down & impart interesting information about them, the forest and anything else you come across. Part of the safari is across our 128 m canopy walk, which actually rises above the forest canopy for a birds eye view of this primate paradise.

These walking safaris last an hour, and depart from reception each half hour. The tours depart daily, every half hour and are open-ended which means that you can go on more than one tour on the day you are visiting us.

We always advise visitors to try an allocate a minimum of 3 hours for their visit to Monkeyland and Birds of Eden in total.  If you allocate less time, you might miss out

http://www.birdsofeden.co.za/

Birds of Eden is the largest free-flight aviary in the world. The sanctuary encompasses 2.3ha of partly forested land, covered by a 3.2ha mesh and criss-crossed by a 1.2km walkway. Visitors are welcome to explore at their own pace, with the use of Birds of Eden's specialised guidebook. The sanctuary is home to over 3,000 birds of around 200 species
